Tamarit Holidays Tamarit is great place to spend your holidays. Firstly it is located in close proximity to two international airports; Barcelona Airport (BCN), which is Spain's second ranked airport in terms of passenger traffic & amongst the ten busiest in Europe, & Reus Airport (REU) offering yet more flight options & closer proximity to the town. This is mainly from an accessibility point of view, but also because it offers a good choice of accommodation. The town is dominated by it's castle (now a museum) which looks out over the surrounding shoreline from a vantage point on the sea edge. There are some nice sandy beaches here, & the town has a well preserved old quarter. Evening entertainment is a mixed bag, though it is fair to say that this is not the liveliest resort on the Costa Dorada. There are some good quality affordable options on hotels or rental properties in Tamarit; they cater from high-end to budget travel requirements. Its summers are hot with temperatures rising up to 28°C, & the Tamarit's coldest months still only dip to an average temperature of 7-10°C.
