If you are an investor looking to buy to rent out, then these seem to be the more popular with the holiday makers due to its versatility! Or if you are looking for a holiday home or maybe something more permanent there may be something suitable for you in Tenerife! There are lots of re-sale 1 and 2 bedroom apartments available in and out of the centre of the quieter resorts, but very rarely does one come on the market in the popular areas such as Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos and when they do they get whipped up pretty quickly! So if you are looking to buy in that area keep your eyes peeled! There are still new developments popping up or in planning for new apartments in the main and quieter holiday resorts of Tenerife, but again in the more popular resorts people are buying from plans. So get in quick! Apartments in the popular areas such as Playa de las Americas start at: - 1 bedroom €100,000 and 2 bedroom €170,000 Obviously prices will vary on how many bedrooms it has, whether or not you have a communal pool, fitness centre and what other facilities are on the grounds, and how far it is walking distance to the centre of the resort and the Beach. Mostly they come part or fully furnished and it doesn't normally add a great deal on the price. Remember to ask when buying what the maintenance cost annually are as these can go up to €5000 again depending whether there are communal gardens and pool, which in the climates on the island can be a lot of work! But at the same time this is one of the great bonuses of having these facilities - less work for you! The swimming pools on the complex's that are privately owned are generally very quiet due to people not being in the country all the time or if they are they are normally working - they can get busier in the night times in the peak heat, when the residents come home and need to cool off! 3 bedroom apartments are becoming a lot more popular now, before people would buy villas when they had larger families, but this is lot cheaper way round and developers saw the niche in the market!! Prices start at €160,000 in the main resorts and as little as €70,000 on the outskirts and the quieter resorts of Tenerife!
