Toledo Shopping Toledo is not really the best place to come if you expecting any degree of variety in a shopping experience. It is after a small city and this is reflected in its retail offerings. However if you are looking to pick up a touristic souvenir or two then there are plenty of craft shops open to attract visiting tourists. Ceramics feature highly, as do gold and silver decorated ornaments and trinkets. Those more keen on taking home almost any variety of sword (though blunted), will find Toledo is still possibly the best place in Europe to come. One thing worth mentioning about shopping in Toledo are the typical opening hours. Although the largest stores will tend to open from 8am-8pm Monday-Saturday the rest of the city conforms to the customary closing for siesta. As such the best times for shopping in Toledo are from 9am-1.30pm and 5pm-8pm, with many outlets closing early on a Saturday and closed on a Sunday.
