Torrevieja Excursions! Parque Natural de Sierra Espuna Fantastic mountain park south west of Murcia. If you don't like driving round sharp hairpin bends with shear cliff faces along the edge of the road, this ones not for you. The park in the Sierra de Espuna, range of mountains, is almost completely forested with pine trees. Loads of wild life, especially huge birds of prey, circling overhead. A few roads criss cross the park, between the various picnic areas, plus a visitor centre and restaurant (on a busy day, the restaurant is packed, so take plenty of food, snacks and drink with you). Take your camera, go for a walk by ravines and valleys. Rising to over 5,200 feet, keep your eye out for, eagles, hawks and kestrels, plus if you really lucky wild boars, wild cats, white squirrels, snakes and salamanders.
