There is a fairground in Torrevieja, next to the marina, open all the year round, although there are more rides during the summer. But if you really want a theme park try the Terra Mitica (a Paramount Park) near Benidorm. About 1 hour in the car, but a great day out, a bit like Alton Towers wih sun! Very few queues and plenty of rides and shows combine to make this a great day out and it really is a whole day. The Park is broken up into 4 themed areas, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt And of Course Ancient Spain. There are loads of rides, large and small, including a real wood roller coaster and state of the art, steel roller coasters. Plenty of car parking, restaurants, bars etc. Take your camera, for the plentiful photo oportunities as you tour the ancient world.

How to get there, the easiest way from Torrevieja is to get straight onto the motorway and drive north passed Alicante towards Valencia. Ignore the first Benidorm signs, the Terra Mitica is well sign posted from the motorway.
