Tossa de Mar Beaches Tossa de Mar has around seven kilometres of pristine coastline which includes several blue flag sandy beaches, as well as pebbled beaches & rocky alcoves for those who prefer to indulge in a spot of snorkeling. Please see below for information on Tossa de Mar's most popular beaches: -   Playa Mar Menuda / Mar Menuda Beach Playa Mar Menuda is one of the more centrally located beaches around Tossa de Mar & as such is just a few minutes from the town centre. This is a large & popular beach made up of fine grain golden sand. In addition to the usual beach bars & cafes Playa Mar Menuda boasts a wide range of installations, including a dive school & glass bottomed boast excursions. The high level of cleanliness & attention to detail on this beach has earned it a Blue Flag award. Facilities include;  Sun beds & umbrellas, toilets & showers, water sports, dive school, glass bottomed boat tours, life guards, & regular police patrols. Playa Platja del Reig / Platja del Reig Beach The tiny Playa Platja del Reig is one step closer to the central Tossa del Mar & at it's northern tip adjoins Playa Mar Menuda. It is made up of golden sand but due to it's size features no facilities worth mentioning. Playa Platja Gran / Platja Gran Beach Playa Platja Gran is Tossa del Mar's main beach & due to it's central location the one with the highest occupancy. It is sandwiched between Playa Platja del Reig to the north & Playa Es Codolar to the south. This is an excellent beach made up of golden sand & with an attractive medieval fortification at one end. It boasts every kind of installation; from beach bars & restaurants, to water sports & boat excursions. Playa Platja Gran has been awarded the European Blue Flag award for cleanliness & clarity of water. Playa Es Codolar / Es Codolar Beach Playa Es Codolar is a quiet spot located at the southernmost point of the old city walls.
