Valencia Town Hall Valencia's town hall (or Ayuntamiento) is arguably one of it's most beautiful buildings. Built in the 18th century it is a palatial construct in eclectic style, with its ornate main facade dominated by a high clock tower. Today it remains the home of the town hall offices though a significant portion of it has been given over to the City History Museum of Valencia. The town hall occupies one side of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento square, a popular gathering point and site for many of Valencia's most important events (the Las Fallas fiesta for one).
