Camp Nou stadium (also known as Nou Camp) is one of the world's largest football stadiums & a true symbol of Spanish football. It first opened it's doors in 1957 boasting over 90,000 seats, though this number was increased to 115,000 in 1982. Though a relatively old structure it has been constantly kept up to date with new technology & innovations, so much so that in 1999 UEFA classed it a five star stadium.
Aside from being the place where FC Barcelona play their home games Camp Nou is the club's official headquarters. It has also played host to an array of international events, including championship finals, music concerts, & even a visit by the Pope.
The stadium is located just 5 kilometres from Barcelona's city centre, & is well connected by all forms of public transport. Those looking to visit the stadium can visit it's excellent museum, or additionally take a tour of the players dressing room, VIP lounge, etc.
