  • Gracia Virgin Shrine Madrid - this 16th century shrine built in Herrera style is celebrated annually; mid September where there is a pilgrimage with an ox drawn cart

  • Puerta del Sol Square Madrid - the Puerta del Sol is Spanish for Sun Gates it is famous for two things, the Kilometers 0, the start of where all Madrid's roads are measured from, and the famous Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight on New Years Eve each year is counted from the Clock at the Puerta del Sol, and broadcasted across Spain in the same way that Big Ben is in England

  • Regional Government Old Post Office Madrid - designed by Maquet and completed in 1768 the Old Post office building is classed as a monument in Madrid situated in the city center close to Gran Via

  • San Antonio Florida Shrine Madrid - this shrine is famous for two things it is Madrid's Sistine Chapel, and where the famous Spanish Artist Goya has been put to rest.  Nearest Metro station is the Principe Pio

  • San Isidro Church Monument Madrid  - Details: Madrid's Patron Saint; San Isidro lies here.  This church is baroque decor.  Art by Herrera, Ricci, and Claudio Coello.   

  • Toledo Gate Monument Madrid - Built between 1817-1827 the Telodo Gate is one of the two remaining City Gates still standing today

  • Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Monument is situated in the Plaza de Espana at one end of Gran Via celebrating the famous writer and poet who amongst many other famous pieces wrote Don Quixote
