Menorca Beaches

Menorca (which is also known as Minorca) has around 100 beaches covering 216km of coastline, this is a similar amount as Ibiza and Mallorca and Ibiza combined.  There truly is something for everyone.  There are beaches with caves, or the huge deserted beaches, or beaches with watersports, restaurants, and great people watching.  The waters around Menorca are amongst the cleanest in the Mediterranean.  It is worth knowing that if the wind is blowing from the north visit the southern coastal beaches, and visa versa.

  • Son Bou Menorca beach is maybe the longest beach in Menorca, it can get very crowded it is located around 8km south from Alaior

  • Punta Prima Menorca beach has fine white sand to one side and rocks to the other.  Located close to Sant Luis, there are pedaloes, windsurfing, and sailing equipment available to hire, and parking is available on the beach 

  • Es Grau Menorca beach is a sandy beach surrounded by sand dunes and pine trees with a fresh water lake.  Situated on the national park near a quaint Spanish fishing village.  Local facilities include restaurants, bars, and shops

  • Arenal Den Castell Menorca beach has shallow waters perfect for young children paddling nearby is a small horseshoe bay, beach bars, water sports, shops, and a supermarket

  • Platja Gran Menorca beach (this is also known as Fornells or in Spanish Playa de Fornells) situated 2 miles away from the resort in the Cala Tirant bay

  • Cala Galdana Menorca beach nick-named the Queen of the Calas located on the south coast just 11km from Ferreries.  It is a really beautiful spot, with water sports, beach bars, and restaurants

  • Cala en Blanes Menorca beach is a little sandy beach situated at one end of a narrow bay

  • Cala en Bosch Menorca beach is a wide sandy beach located in a happening resort on the south-west tip of Menorca

  • Cala en Porter Menorca beach located near a nice resort just south of the airport with water sports, beach bars, sunbeds, and handy parking

  • Sant Tomas Menorca beach is a long narrow beach with white fine sand surrounded by hills.  There are beach bars, water sports and handy parking

  • Cala Mitjana Menorca beach is quiet cove, located down a small road off the main road from Ferreries to Cala Galdana. There are parking facilities for a charge

  • Cala Macarella Menorca beach is a picturesque pine edged cove. There are sun beds for hire and a couple of beach bars.  To get here take the outer ring road at Ciudadela

  • Arenal de Son Saura Menorca beach is a picturesque sheltered bay with white fine sand, there are no facilities except parking, and no people just pure tranquility.  To get here follow the signs from the southern ring road at Ciudadela, you go through a few gates to get to the beach

  • Son Xoriguer Menorca beach close to Cala n Bosch there are 2 small beaches with fine white sand.  There are water sports, beach bars, restaurants, and the parking is handy

  • Cala Pregonda Menorca beach is a beautiful deserted beach surrounded by pine trees just west of Fornells and walking distance from Binimel-la

  • Playa de Ferragut Menorca beach is a pretty tranquil setting with sand dunes, close to the resort of Cavalleria, and 2km from the museum towards the lighthouse, where there are lavatories and a bar

  • Son Parc Menorca beach is a large white sandy beach perfect for families with young children as the sea is shallow for 20m.  Facilities include a beach bar, water sports, and handy parking.  Located on the north coast close to Mercadal

  • Cala Mesquida Menorca beach is a really nice cove popular with the locals on a weekend.  There are sunbeds and beach bars, and the parking is handy.  The get drive from the outer ring road at Ciutadella

  • Cales Coves Menorca beach is a small rocky beach on the way to the Cales Coves surrounded by caves and places to explore, there are no facilities

  • Binibeca Menorca beach is a small sandy cove with water sports, beach bar, sun beds, and handy parking located just south of Sant Lluis

  • Cala Trebaluger Menorca beach is a secluded beach with no facilities

  • Cala Turqueta Menorca beach is a nice family beach

  • Cala Blanca Menorca beach is a picturesque beach with plenty of facilities including sun beds, pedaloes for rent, beach bars, cafes
