Oliva, Spain, Europe
Property and Tourist Information
The coastal town of Oliva is situated on the southernmost portion of the Costa del Azahar and has a population of just over 20,000 people, however during the summer months Oliva swells with an influx of tourists. The town itself is a pretty place with a well preserved old center featuring many antiquated buildings and monuments of interest. The influence of past settlers is easily visible here with distinct Moorish, Christian, and other old town areas.
Oliva's suburbs are (as with other towns) a sprawl of privately owned apartments and other property types. At present these are mainly owned by Spanish nationals though recent years have brought increased interested from both overseas investors and those looking to set up homes.
Perched on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea Oliva boasts sandy beaches aplenty. They are generally well maintained and many of them consistently win the European blue flag for cleanliness and the clarity of its waters.
Oliva is also well known for its mild climate and enjoys sunshine for in excess of 300 days per year. The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Winters are typically very mild with averages hovering around 17°C.
