Tamarit, Costa Dorada, Spain, Europe
Property & Tourist Information
The town of Tamarit is a small charming destination on the southern portion of the Costa Dorada. The town is dominated by it's castle (now a museum) which looks out over the surrounding shoreline from a vantage point on the sea edge. There are some nice sandy beaches here, & the town has a well preserved old quarter. Evening entertainment is a mixed bag, though it is fair to say that this is not the liveliest resort on the Costa Dorada.
In recent years residential tourism has found its way to Tamarit. However the identity & traditions of the people that live here are still very much alive, & many fiestas take place throughout the town calendar. Local cuisine is another bonus, with affordable good food available everywhere, alongside middle to high end restaurants.
The climate in Tamarit is welcoming for the majority of the year; highs reach 28°C during the hottest months, & average temperatures are at 7-10°C during the winter. However visitors should be aware that temperatures are on average 2-4°C cooler if venturing inland.
